Poverty and Math

For math, it was more then just numbers and graphs.  For this section, I really looked at how many people in the world go through poverty.  After doing my math, about 1 billion people, or one third of the world, are living through poverty.  That is very suprising to me and I hope it is to you too.  This should be a wake up call for everyone.

I even looked at the past poverty in the U.S.A.  In 1960, poverty started high and but went down a lot.  But then at 1975, that all chagned.  It increased for about ten years then decreased again but not a lot.  From 2000 to now, poverty in the U.S has gone up to 1.8 million people per year.  I made a graph with these numbers and made equations and found over the years how much it increased or decreased.
